Western North Carolina is known for its lovely
parks, waterfalls, hiking, rafting, kayaking, biking, gem mining and
much more. The ruby in the photo above was mined from one of
Franklin's oldest gem mines. The quality of the rubies in Franklin
are known to be among the best in the world.
